We are very pleased with this high-quality Bumbo change pad and wished we had got one from the get go. The foam material is nice and smooth to touch so it's easy to wipe down and keep clean. The foam is also not cold on my baby's skin, like so many other change mats are. My baby does not stick to this one, so no need to put a towel down first either and he seems really comfortable on it.
The curved sides are quite steep which means my wriggly 9 month old has a hard time rolling off, which was not the case with another change pad we were using before. I didn't think I would use the belt much, but now that my 9 month old tries to get up and escape on every nappy change, the belt keeps him secure long enough for me to change him or pick something up from the floor if needed. This has made changing time less stressful for us both as before we were both wrestling with each other.
The ergonomical shape and curved sides not only looks aesthetically pleasing and luxurious, it also means that if my little one has any accidents it keeps liquid contained and away from him, making it easy to mop up. As the ends are rounded and not square, I actually have more room on my change table now which was a nice surprise. There are no rough or sharp edges either so it feels nice to pick-up. If we go on long day trips, we bring this with us for quick changes in the car as it's sturdy but also small enough to take with us, so find it portable too.
I can see the change pad lasting many years to come because of its high quality material, so I highly recommend it to new parents or parents looking to upgrade their current one.
